Strathberry Collaboration
In 2023 Strathberry ran a competition with Edinburgh College of Art students. The brief was simple – design a curated collection of silk scarves that inherently expresses your own personal style and evokes a sense of cultural curiosity.
I entered the competition and the inspiration for my work was the architecture of Edinburgh, from the early-Renaissance architecture of the Old Town, including the National Library of Scotland and Greyfriars Kirkyard. I won this competition and in the summer of 2023 Strathberry launched my collection of beautifully illustrated silk scarves.
These were digitally developed with innovative techniques and featured on both a Silk Skinny Scarf and Silk Square Scarf. I loved this competition and working with Strathberry was an amazing experience. This really felt like the start of my career as a textile designer and made me so excited for the future possibilities of my work.
